ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS Sealed bids are requested by St. Charles Parish from qualified contractors for the construction of: St. Charles Parish New File Storage Building 15012 C River Road, Hahnville, LA Campo Designs Project No. CD 1803 Bids will be received at the St. Charles Parish Court House, Council Office, 15045 Hwy. 18, Hahnville, LA either by registered or certified mail with return receipt requested or hand delivered or electronically at www.centralbidding.com no later than 10:00 a.m., Local Time Thursday, September 23, 2010 at which time bids will be publicly opened and read aloud in the Council Chambers, St. Charles Parish Courthouse, 15045 Hwy. 18, Hahnville, Louisiana. Complete Bidding Documents which include the Contract Documents may be obtained from the Architect, Campo Designs – Architects, 105 Ducayet Drive, Destrehan, LA 70047, (985) 764-8959 upon payment of a deposit of $50.00 per set of documents. The deposit will be returned as provided in the Instruction to Bidders. Bids must be accompanied by a bid security at least equal to five percent (5%) of the base bid in the form of a certified check, cashier’s check or bid bond. A Pre-bid Conference will be held on Tuesday, September 7, 2010 at 10:00am at the St. Charles Parish Court House, Council Chambers, Hahnville, LA. Attendance at the Pre-bid Conference is Mandatory in order to submit a bid. Contract, if awarded, will be on the basis of the lowest responsive and responsible bidder, if within budget. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of 45 days after bid opening except as provided by law. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Performance and Payment Bond written by a company licensed to do business in Louisiana, in the amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price.
