The City of Ponchatoula will receive separate sealed Bids for WSP 2023 Sewer Program, Sewer Lagoon Improvements, Contract No. 23-1911-06.  The Work consists of a number of improvements to the existing lagoon treatment facilities. The contractor will be building a new polishing reactor near the existing effluent, along with new UV channels and relocating UV equipment to these channels. Contract includes installation of two (2) new generators (Alternate #1 and Alternate #2), new electric, upgrading motors at existing blowers for the lagoons and installing new air headers and diffusors. Also includes installation of a 2 ft “flood wall” on the dividing levee. Includes all equipment and appurtenances required to install all of the above and everything shown in drawings.
 
The City of Ponchatoula will receive Bids until 10:00 A.M. local time, May 21, 2024, Purchasing Department, at City of Ponchatoula, 125 W. Hickory Street, Ponchatoula, LA  70454; Office:  985-386-6484 or Fax:  985-386-0895.  Bids received after this time will not be accepted.  Bids will be opened and publicly read aloud immediately after the specified closing time.  The outside of the Bid envelope shall be marked with the project title, name and address of the Bidder and current Contractor’s license number.

Bid security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the Bid must accompany each Bid in accordance with the Instruction to Bidders.
 
The Prime Bidder must be a licensed contractor in good standing in the State of Louisiana holding a Commercial License in Heavy Construction or Municipal and Public Works Construction.
 
No Bidder may withdraw his Bid within 45 days after the actual date of the opening thereof.
 
Since Federal funds are to be used in portions of this project, Bidders are reminded that per Federal Law, all regulations and requirements of, but not limited to, 2 CFR 200.317 – 200.327 apply. This includes the additional good faith efforts to solicit minority owned, women owned, and disadvantaged owned business. Bidders are encouraged to thoroughly review Article 19.00 of Section 00 73 00 Supplementary Conditions within the Project Manual and to follow any and all federal requirements.
 
The City of Ponchatoula reserves the right to waive any informalities or to reject any and all bids.
