ST. LANDRY PARISH SOLID WASTE DISPOSAL DISTRICT
Sealed bids for Landfill Gas Collection & Control System Expansion/Modification will be received by the St. Landry Parish Solid Waste Disposal District until 10:00 A.M., Friday,
January 8, 2016 at the District's office in Beggs, Louisiana, and then at said office publicly opened and read aloud. Electronic bidding is also available through Central Bidding. The website to submit an electronic bid is www.centralbidding.com.
A non-mandatory pre-bid meeting shall be held via webex on December 22, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. CST. Any contractors wishing to participate in the meeting shall contact Juene Franklin, P.E. at Email Address: email@example.com for instructions to log on by 8:00 a.m. CST on December 22, 2015 if they wish to participate in this voluntary webex meeting.
Specifications may be examined, without charge, in the office of the St. Landry Parish Solid Waste Disposal District, 417 Solid Waste Road, Washington, LA 70589. Beggs is located on the west side of St. Landry Parish approximately 0.7 miles from LA Route 10, (Beggs is located 4.5 miles, traveling on LA Route 10, north of the Town of Washington, LA), or at the office of Aucoin & Associates, Inc., Consulting Engineers, 433 North C.C. Duson Street, Eunice, LA 70535, or will be forwarded to the prospective bidder upon deposit with the Engineers of $100.00 for one (1) set of plans and specifications. Partial sets of documents will not be issued.
The full deposit for one set of plans and specifications will be refunded to each general contractor who submits a bona-fide bid and returns plans and specifications within ten days of bid opening. For additional sets of documents and for documents issued to subcontractors or material suppliers, the cost of reproduction and mailing of each set will be deducted and a balance of $50.00 refunded. Said refunds will only be made for a complete set of documents returned within 10 days following bid opening in good condition.
Bids must be submitted on Bid Forms furnished for this purpose by the Engineers. The bidder must execute all blanks on the bid form or the bid will not be considered.
Bids shall be enclosed in a sealed envelope addressed to Mr. Katry Martin, Executive Director, St. Landry Parish Solid Waste, and plainly marked on the outside, "Bid for Landfill Gas Collection & Control System Expansion/Modification.
Each bidder must deposit with his bid, security in the amount, forms, and subject to the conditions provided for in the Information for Bidders. Sureties used for obtaining bonds must appear as acceptable on the U.S. Department of Treasury Circular 570.
No bidder may withdraw his bid within thirty (30) days after the actual date of the opening thereof.
