The project includes a new Type IIB 15,925 sf sprinklered Assembly A-4 and support spaces. The entire building is a FEMA 361 Hurricane Rated Safe Room and will have emergency power provided by a natural gas generator, sanitation support systems (Wastewater Storage) and potable water supply (Consisting of a domestic water booster pump and water storage tank) emergency water. The exterior walls are 12" and 8" reinforced CMU with filled cells, aluminum and glass storm windows and hollow metal storm doors. The steel truss roof structure is supported on steel columns, and the roof consists of reinforced concrete and composite metal deck with a SBS Mod Bit roofing membrane. Spray-foam insulation is located at the interior side of the roof. The interior finishes include sealed concrete and epoxy floor covering, rubber base, painted walls and a suspended ACT ceiling.
