ADVERTISEMENT FOR BID 
Sealed bids will be received by the City of Brandon, Mississippi, until 10:00 a.m. on January 12, 2024 in the office of the City Clerk, 1000 Municipal Drive, Brandon, Mississippi, 39042.
 
Bids will be taken for the following:  
 
BRANDON TERM BID – VARIOUS PUBLIC WORKS ITEMS
 
Proposals shall be made in duplicate, sealed, and deposited with the City Clerk prior to the hour and date designated above. Bid Number 2023-33 shall be marked in the lower left corner of the envelope. Each bidder shall write the Certificate of Responsibility number and Mississippi Contractors License number on the outside of the sealed envelope containing his proposal. Bids must be submitted in conformance to the bid documents and in compliance with all applicable Mississippi State Law. Electronic bids can be submitted at www.centralbidding.com and any questions relating to the electronic process should be directed to Central Bidding at 225-810-4814.
 
Bidders must be qualified under Mississippi State Law and show Certificate of Responsibility issued by the Mississippi State Board of Public Contractors.
 
The bid items include the bidder furnishing all labor and equipment, as well as materials if so indicated in the specifications, to accomplish work including but not limited to: sewer bypassing, waste water system installation and/or repairs, water system installation and/or repairs, drainage improvement or repairs, pavement removal and replacement, excavation, concrete work, dewatering, cleaning, sewer point repairs, sod, grassing, and other items as shown on the proposal form.
 
The specifications and bid documents may be examined at the following location:
City of Brandon Public Works Department, 1000 Municipal Drive, Brandon, MS 39042 
Physical copies of the same may be obtained as well upon payment of fifty dollars ($50) per set – none of which is refundable. No partial documents will be issued.
 
The term of this award shall be from date of award until September 30, 2024. The City will have the option to renew the bid agreement for four additional years after the initial year of service, with annual increases in the contract amount limited to the lesser of the CPI or 5%. No prospective contractor may withdraw their proposal within SIXTY (60) DAYS after the actual date of the opening thereof.
 
The City of Brandon reserves the right to reject any and/or all bids, to accept any bid deemed to be in the best interest of the City, and to waive informalities.
 
The intent of Bids received by Owner is to establish unit prices for anticipated work that may be necessary to repair City Owned infrastructure in emergency or certain other situations. Bids will be compared and awarded at the time services are needed on the basis of the required pay items, quantity, unit price for the work that is required and the availability of the Bidder.
