The City of Ponchatoula will receive separate sealed Bids for WSP 2023 Sewer Program, Gateway Force Main, Contract No. 23-1911-07.  The Work consists of installing approximately 6,000 linear feet of 8”, 5,700 linear feet of 12”, and 3,800 linear feet of 18” sewer force main from an existing sewer lift station to an existing sewer lagoon by means of open cut and horizontal direction drilling methods. Includes replacing submersible pumps and controls at the Gateway Lift Station on Business Highway 51. Includes all appurtenances, valves, miscellaneous work required to install and operate the above work.
 
The City of Ponchatoula will receive Bids until 10:00 A.M. local time, May 21, 2024, Purchasing Department, at City of Ponchatoula, 125 W. Hickory Street, Ponchatoula, LA  70454; Office:  985-386-6484 or Fax:  985-386-0895.  Bids received after this time will not be accepted.  Bids will be opened and publicly read aloud immediately after the specified closing time.  The outside of the Bid envelope shall be marked with the project title, name and address of the Bidder and current Contractor’s license number.

Bid security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the Bid must accompany each Bid in accordance with the Instruction to Bidders.
 
The Prime Bidder must be a licensed contractor in good standing in the State of Louisiana holding a Commercial License in Heavy Construction or Municipal and Public Works Construction.
 
No Bidder may withdraw his Bid within 45 days after the actual date of the opening thereof.
 
Since Federal funds are to be used in portions of this project, Bidders are reminded that per Federal Law, all regulations and requirements of, but not limited to, 2 CFR 200.317 – 200.327 apply. This includes the additional good faith efforts to solicit minority owned, women owned, and disadvantaged owned business. Bidders are encouraged to thoroughly review Article 19.00 of Section 00 73 00 Supplementary Conditions within the Project Manual and to follow any and all federal requirements.
 
The City of Ponchatoula reserves the right to waive any informalities or to reject any and all bids.
