The Greater Lafourche Port Commission will receive sealed bids for site improvements including concrete walking trails and bench pads, and an observation deck with lighting and an ADA lift at the Coastal Wetlands Park, Port Fourchon, Louisiana, until 2:00PM, Tuesday, July 1, 2025 at the Administration Office, 16829 East Main, Cut Off, LA 70345. Bids received prior to the above deadline will be accepted by one of the three methods, then opened and read aloud at the Port Commission’s Office immediately following the submittal deadline:
Electronically, ONLY through www.CentralAuctionHouse.com. Contractors must be registered with Central Bidding to receive bid documents and upload electronic bids, Sealed Paper Bids, may be hand delivered to the Port Commission’s Office prior to the Bid Opening deadline,Sealed Paper Bids, may be delivered via USPS, Fed-Ex, UPS, or Courrier, BUT must be received prior to deadline.
Complete Bid Documents for this project are available in electronic form. They may be obtained for download anytime from Central Bidding at www.CentralAuctionHouse.com or from the Designer upon written request. Printed copies are not available from the Designer, but arrangements can be made to obtain them through most reprographic firms. Plan holders are responsible for their own reproduction costs. The form of this security shall be as stated in the Instructions to Bidders included in the Bid Documents for this project. The successful Bidder shall be required to furnish a Performance and Payment Bond written as described in the Instructions to Bidders included in the Bid Documents for this project.

Bids shall be accepted from Contractors who are licensed under LA. R.S. 37:2150-2192 for the classification of Building Construction. Bidder is required to comply with provisions and requirements of LA R.S. 38:2212(B)(5). No bid may be withdrawn for a period of forty-five (45) days after receipt of bids, except under the provisions of LA. R.S. 38:2214.
This agreement is for services related to a project that is subject to the Build America, Buy America Act (BABAA) requirements under Title IX of the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (“IIJA”), Pub. L. 177-58. Absent an approved waiver, all iron, steel, manufactured products, and construction materials used in this project must be produced in the United States, as further outlined by the Office of Management and Budget’s Memorandum M-22-11, Initial Implementation Guidance on Application of Buy America Preference in Federal Financial Assistance Programs for Infrastructure, April 18, 2022.
The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids for just cause. In accordance with La. R.S. 38:2212(B)(1), the provisions and requirements of this Section; and those stated in the bidding documents shall not be waived by any entity. The Contract will be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder without discrimination on grounds of race, color, sex, or national origin. Disadvantaged businesses will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids.
