Ducks Unlimited, Inc., the Nation's leader in wetland conservation, is seeking bids for the Dressing Point Island Restoration Phase 2 Project.  We are having a mandatory pre-bid meeting and site showing to interested contractors from our bidders list at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 24th. We will meet at the existing parking lot/boat ramp at Joey’s Bait and Tackle at 27334 FM 457, Sargent, TX 77414. Contractors interested in seeing the project area must bring a boat to facilitate their access.
 
The work on this project consists of the supply and installation of sand, topsoil, and crushed stone material on Dressing Point Island in East Matagorda Bay. The Contractor shall be responsible for any necessary pollution control measures.  This work shall also include performing the necessary fill, necessary excavation, necessary site preparation and other items outlined in the plans or associated with constructing the project according to the plans.  The unit price bid for the project shall be payment in full for supplying all materials, equipment, labor and any other necessary incidental items necessary for performing all operations described herein. Contractors shall submit proposed construction schedules with their documents. The maximum period of performance for the base bid contract shall be 100 days.
