NOTICE is hereby given that the Mayor and Board of Aldermen of the City of Southaven, Mississippi will receive written sealed bids until the hour of ­­10 o’clock a.m. local time, on Thursday, January 25, 2024 at the office of the City Clerk of the City of Southaven, at the following address:

Received Bids will then be publicly read aloud in the City’s Board Room at 10:15 a.m. local time. Bids are for the furnishing of all labor, materials, and equipment necessary for the construction of that certain project designated as “Traffic Signal Improvements”. Project Documents are on file and can be viewed at the office of the City Clerk.
 
Bids are for all labor and materials required to construct three (3) new traffic signals. This project general includes installation of traffic signal equipment, including signal poles, mast arms, controllers and cabinets, signal heads, electrical equipment, etc. as required to provide three new traffic signals at Church and Tchulahoma intersection, Airways and Guthrie intersection, and Swinnea and Stateline intersection.
 
The total Contract Time will be 365 consecutive calendar days and the liquidated damages will be $200.00 per consecutive calendar day thereafter.
 
Copies of the drawings and specifications, together with contract documents, may be obtained from the City Clerk’s office, with payment of $200 reproduction costs for each set, none of which is refundable.

The City of Southaven reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any information and irregularities therein, solicit new bids, award the bid to the lowest and best bidder.
