Advertisement for Bids
Notice is hereby given that sealed bids will be received by the Lafayette Parish School System (LPSS) Purchasing Department, 113 Chaplin Drive, Lafayette, Louisiana up to 10:30 a.m. C.S.T., on June 14, 2012 for a Carpet Mat.
All bids shall be submitted sealed to the LPSS Purchasing Department on or before the above time and date, at the “Main Office” at 113 Chaplin Drive, Lafayette, LA 70508/ P.O. Drawer 2158, Lafayette, LA 70502 with a sealed envelope plainly marked: “Attn: Sandra Melancon”,”Purchasing Department”, “Sealed Bid # 44-12, Carpet Mats”. ALL BIDS MAILED OR DELIVERED BY CARRIER SHALL BE SENT WITH PROOF OF DELIVERY REQUESTED.
Bids will be marked as follows:
Opening: June 14, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. C.S.T.
The bid #44-12 is to purchase a carpet mats building for the Lafayette Parish School System.
Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at the above stated time and date in the Instructional Conference Room of the Lafayette Parish School System Office Building.
Complete bidding documents may be obtained from the Purchasing Department of the Lafayette Parish School System located at 113 Chaplin Drive, Lafayette, LA 70508 or on the Purchasing Department website at www.lpssonline.com/purchasing. Bid information may also be viewed online, and electronic bids may be submitted online at www.centralauctionhouse.com/rfp.php?cid=87. Electronic bids must be submitted by 10:30 am, June 14, 2012. Specifications will be available Friday, May 25, 2012.
The owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids for just cause. In accordance with LA. R.S. 38:2212 (a)(1)(b), the provisions and requirements of this section, those stated in the Advertisement for Bids, and those required on the bid form shall not be waived by any public entity.
Preference is hereby given to materials, supplies, and provisions produced, manufactured or grown in Louisiana, quality being equal to articles offered by competitors outside the state.
The Lafayette Public School System strongly encourages the participation of minority business enterprises in all contracts or procurements let by the Board for goods and services. To that end, all contractors and suppliers are encouraged to utilize minority business enterprises in the purchase of sub-contracting of materials, supplies, and services in which minority owned businesses are available.
