This project includes the stabilization of the platform and the repairs necessary to return the platform to its pre-damaged conditions. General Condition 16.02 on page 119 of the 617-page Contract Documents and Specifications indicates that Owner may take control or possession of Contractor's equipment. This would be acceptable as to equipment that is incorporated into the Project, but not as to construction equipment, vehicles and tools. Such action would violate existing covenants and enforceable agreements and is not permitted. Owner's proper remedy in Default for Work completion is the Performance Bond. Please confirm that Owner will not take possession or control of Contractor's construction equipment, vehicles, or tools, or explain what is intended.

There is no specific scope referencing the MCC building design, fabrication and installation is to be by the E/I contractor. There is reference to “building manufacturer” on the electrical drawings but no specification or detail design data available in the documents we have received to date. Will there be more information given for the design of the building?

Per drawing E2.01 and Q5 in Addendum #2: New control cable (noted on drawing E2.01) is to be installed from the water plant to the new Electrical building without being spliced. Can a specific location in the existing water plant or a specific control cable length be provided for the control cable homeruns? Are existing VFDs to be reused in the new electrical building? Where are the existing VFDs located currently? The Platform Electrical Plan on drawing 21-105-E2.01 depicts (3) 1-1/2”C, w/3#3 #8GND (TYP) leaving the existing pumps and routing to the Electrical Building. Should this be ignored and replaced with what is depicted on the one-line diagram, 2”C w/3#1/0 w/#6GND?
