The work on this project consists of removing 2 existing water control structures and replacing them with 2 timber supported FRP composite sheet pile walls with aluminum framed water control structure integrated within the sheet pile. One wall shall be installed without dewatering (Joe Aucoin), and one wall shall be installed while the site is dewatered (NE Structure).  The Contractor shall be responsible for any necessary pollution control measures.  The unit price bid for the project shall be payment in full for supplying all materials, equipment, labor and any other necessary incidental items necessary for performing all operations described herein.  Contract completion time is 90 calendar days from the issuance of the full Notice to Proceed.  

Additional Notes/Requirements

There will be no pre-bid site showing, but interested contractors are highly encouraged to visit both water control structure sites prior to placing a bid. The Joe Aucoin structure location is open to the public, but the Northeast Structure location is NOT open to public access. A general access permit, which has been provided by LDWF, is attached for all contractors wishing to visit the site and must be on hand on site. It expires on Marsh 14th so please conduct any site visits within the next 2 weeks. Sheet 3 of the plans is attached for locations of the 2 water control structures. A public boat launch with fee is located at 306 Beach Ln., Cypremore Point, LA.
