PUBLIC NOTICE - REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL (RFP)
The Lake Charles Housing Authority is seeking Proposals from highly qualified
firms interested i n providing restoration services as referenced in the attached RFP.
Sealed proposals for Woodway Park Subdivision Roof Construction Services will be received by the Lake Charles Housing Authority until Noon on August 20, 2021 in the Housing Authority Central Office Board Room at 800 Bilbo Street, Lake Charles, Louisiana.
Electronic Proposal will also be accepted and is to be received by the Lake Charles Housing Authority via the Central Auction House Website, until 12:00 p.m. local time on August 20, 2021 relative to the referenced Request for Proposal (RFP). All proposals shall be submitted in the required form. It is the proposer’s responsibility to ensure receipt of the submission.

Updates, changes, amendments, and answers to questions to this solicitation will be provided by addendum and posted to the central auction house website only. It is the responsibility of the responding firm to check for and comply with addendums.
All bids must be sealed and plainly marked with Contractor’s license number on the outside of the envelope. Both hand delivered and electronic bids will be publicly opened and read at the above designated place and time. No proposal may be withdrawn within thirty (30) calendar days after the above scheduled time of opening and the right is reserved to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities.
Bid Bond, equal to not less than five percent (5%) of the bid and made payable to the Lake Charles Housing Authority must accompany each bid. Performance Bond for the construction is required upon execution of the contract, equal to one hundred percent
(100%) of said contract. The Lake Charles Housing Authority shall execute appropriate performance bond, Contract and all necessary documentation within thirty (30) days after acceptance of the Contractor.
Current prevailing wages apply. Bidder must show proof of insurance as required in the General and Special Conditions of the Specifications Requirements. The Contractor will be paid in monthly draws, which are in accordance with the specifications with a 10% retainer that will be held for the 45-Day Lien Period. A site walk will be performed Wednesday the 4th of August at 1:00PM Sign-in and initial
briefing will be conducted at Woodway Park Subdivision, 1620 Badger Street, Lake
Charles, LA 70601. All interested parties are asked to email the TLC POC with the intent
to attend the site-walk. The purpose of the site walk is to allow contractors to verify all
elements which are to be included in the proposal. It is the contractor’s responsibility to
familiarize themselves to the site and all damages that are to be rectified. The scope of
work narrative is intended to provide as much information as possible but is not to be
deemed an all-inclusive narrative.
