ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS

Sealed bids will be received for the St. John the Baptist Parish Public Schools until 11:00 A.M., Central Time on October 15, 2021, for the Hurricane Ida Disaster Related Mitigation and Recovery of Garyville/Mt. Airy Math and Science Magnet School.

Bids may be submitted electronically on www.CentralAuctionHouse.com or delivered to 118 West 10th Street, Reserve, LA 70084.

Bids will be publicly opened at the School Board Office’s Annex Building (118 West 10th Street, Reserve, LA 70084) and read aloud at that time. A tabulation will be made for consideration by the Owner in awarding the Contract. Bids received after the above-designated date and time will not be opened and will be rejected.

This project will consist of emergency interior finish repairs. Due to the urgency to safely open the schools to students, the St. John the Baptist Parish School Board has declared this site to be a public health emergency and therefore an abbreviated bid period is being permitted for the bidding of this project. The Contractor performing this construction work must be licensed with the State of Louisiana Licensing Board as BUILDING CONSTRUCTION. Bids received from Bidders without this license will be rejected. All work must be substantially complete by October 31, 2021.

ANY PERSON REQUIRING SPECIAL ACCOMMODATIONS SHALL NOTIFY THE OWNER OF THE TYPE(S) OF ACCOMMODATION REQUIRED NOT LESS THAN TWO (2) DAYS BEFORE THE BID OPENING.

A set of the plans can be reviewed only, upon request, at St. John the Baptist Parish Public Schools, 118 West 10th Street, Reserve, LA 70084.

All electronically submitted Bids must be accompanied by an electronic bid surety bond in the amount equal to five percent (5%) of the sum of the Base Bid and all Alternates, and payable without condition to the owner. Vendors submitting electronic bids must submit an electronic bid bond through the respective online clearinghouse bond management system(s) as indicated in the electronic bid solicitation on Central Auction House.
