The Southeast Louisiana Flood Protection Authority – East (“Authority” or “SLFPAE”)
covers three consolidated districts: East Jefferson Levee District, Orleans Levee District, and Lake Borgne Basin Levee District. Our mission is to ensure the physical and operational integrity of the regional flood risk management system, and to work with local, regional, state and federal partners to plan, design and construct projects that will reduce the probability and risk of flooding for the residents within our jurisdiction.
SLFPAE invites interested contractors qualified to provide Disaster Debris Management and Disposal Services in accordance with Federal Emergency Management Agency (“FEMA”) guidelines (RFQ 2017-001) to submit Qualifications. The Authority intends to pre-qualify contractors for future competitive bidding after a storm or other qualifying event requires subsequent debris management and disposal services.
Minimum Qualification Requirements – The Authority is seeking to procure one or more qualified and experienced firm(s) with extensive expertise in Disaster Debris Management and Disposal Services as required by the Request for Qualifications (“RFQ”). The firm must possess a minimum of five (5) years’ experience In Debris Management and Disposal Services. The Respondent must have a proven record of successfully completing projects with a similar size, scope, and complexity in debris removal or related field. The Respondent must also have a thorough understanding of working within FEMA guidelines to assure Federal reimbursement of all debris removal activities.
