Advertisement for Request for Proposal                
Notice is hereby given that a sealed Request for Proposal (RFP) will be received by the Lafayette Parish School System by the Purchasing Department located at 113 Chaplin Drive, Lafayette, LA 70508. Delivery to any other department other than the Purchasing Department is unacceptable and may result in non-consideration of the proposal.
 
Sealed proposals will be marked as follows:
 
                       
School Bus Cellular Live Video
                        RFP# 20-23
                        Opening:  August 15, 2022 @ 10:00 a.m. CST
 
The RFP# 20-23 is to obtain a proposal from a qualified vendor for the procurement, installation and maintenance of management software to retrieve live video from school buses wirelessly anytime, even when buses have been powered down. The incident management software would allow synchronization of live video, vehicle sensors, alarms and audio enabling incidents to be viewed from all angles.
 
A Request for Proposal package may be obtained from the Purchasing Department website at https://www.lpssonline.com/departments/business-services/purchasing under ‘Bid Specifications’.  Proposal information may also be viewed online, and electronic proposals may be submitted online at www.centralauctionhouse.com. 
 
On August 15, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. CST, only the name of the proposal respondents will be read aloud in a LPSS Conference Room.
 
The Lafayette Public School System strongly encourages the participation of minority business enterprises in all contracts or procurements let by the Board for goods and services.  To that end, all contractors and suppliers are encouraged to utilize minority business enterprises in the purchase of sub-contracting of materials, supplies, and services in which minority owned businesses are available.
 
The owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids for just cause.
