ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
Seal bids will be received electronically through Central Auction House at www.centralauctionhouse.com and/or by hand delivery until the hour of 2:00 p.m., local time on JUNE 30, 2025 at Leo Kerner Jr. Multipurpose Complex (Temporary Town Hall), located at 4917 City Park Drive, Lafitte, LA 70067, and publicly opened upon completion of administrative tasks for the following:
LEO KERNER JR. MULTIPURPOSE COMPLEX
CIVIC CENTER AND MUSUEM HVAC UNITS
The project consists of removal and replacement of HVAC units as indicated in the Construction Documents for the Civic Center and Museum at the Leo Kerner Jr. Multipurpose Complex.
Bids shall be addressed to the Town of Jean Lafitte and delivered to the Leo Kerner Jr. Multipurpose Complex (Temporary Town Hall) located at 4917 City Park Drive, Lafitte, LA 70067 not later than 2:00 p.m., on the 30th day of JUNE, 2025. Sealed bids to be marked “Sealed Bid –Leo Kerner Jr. Multipurpose Complex Civic Center and Museum HVAC Units” Any bid received after the specified time and date will not be considered. The sealed bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at 2:00 p.m. on the 30TH day of JUNE, 2025, at the aforementioned location.
A complete set of Construction Documents may be secured from Meyer Engineers, Ltd. located at 4937 Hearst Street, Suite 1B, Metairie, LA 70001 (Phone: 504-885-9892) by licensed contractors upon receipt of $75.00 for hard copy set and/or a non-refundable fee of $25.00 for an electronic set on USB flash drive. A complete set of Contract Documents in PDF Format may be also secured by licensed contractors from Meyer Engineers, Ltd. Plan Room, Phone: 504-885-9892 via Central Bidding at: www.centralauctionhouse.com, fees are applicable to Central Bidding Membership.
The Contractor shall hold a Louisiana Contractor’s license in Building Construction Classification.
All bids must be in accordance with the contract documents on file with the Town of Jean Lafitte, 4917 City Park Drive, Lafitte, Louisiana 70067. Late bids will not be accepted.
Each Bid must be accompanied by certified check, cashier’s check, or bid bond acceptable to the owner in the amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total amount bid, including all alternates, and payable without condition to the owner as a guarantee that the bidder, if awarded the contract, will promptly execute a contract in accordance with his proposal and all terms and conditions of the contract documents.
The successful bidder will be required to furnish a performance bond guaranteeing faithful performance of the contract. Companies providing the bonds shall comply with the requirements of LRS-R.S. 38:2218 and R.S. 38:2219 as applicable.
The Town of Jean Lafitte reserves the right to reject all bids, waive informalities and to reject non-conforming, non-responsive, un-balanced, or conditional bids, pursuant to the law.
A Pre-Bid Conference will be held on June 20, 2025 at 9:00 a.m. at Leo Kerner, Jr. Multipurpose Complex (Temporary Town Hall), Lafitte, Louisiana 70067. All interested parties are strongly encouraged to attend.
