Sealed bids will be received by the Board of Supervisors of Marshall County, Mississippi at the Marshall County Courthouse, 107 Market St., Holly Springs, MS 38635 until 10:00 a.m. local time on the 11th day of January, 2023 and shortly thereafter publicly opened and read aloud for the construction of 0.334 miles of BRIDGE REPLACEMENT PROJECT on BETHLEHEM ROAD being known as Project No. CRSA-0977-00(002) 107029-701000) in Marshall County, Mississippi.

BASIS OF AWARD
  
The award, if made, will be made to the lowest qualified bidder on the basis of published quantities.
 
The Board of Supervisors hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively insure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement; minority business enterprise will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, or national origin in consideration for an award.
 
PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS are on file in the Office of the Chancery Clerk of Marshall County, and the County Engineer's office.  This project shall be constructed in accordance with the latest edition of the Mississippi Standard Specifications for State Aid Road and Bridge Construction. 
 
PLANS AND PROPOSALS may be secured from Larry L. Britt, County Engineer for Marshall County, Mississippi, P.O. Box 308, 823 North Lamar Blvd., Oxford, MS  38655, 662-234-1763.  The Cost is seventy-five dollars ($75.00) for plans and thirty dollars ($30.00) for the proposal, non-refundable certified check or bid bond for five percent (5%) of the total bid, made payable to Marshall County and the State of Mississippi must accompany each proposal.
 
Bid preparation will be in accordance with Section 00200 – Instructions to Bidders bound in the Project Manual.  Project Plans and Project Manual may be examined at www.centralbidding.com.

All planholders are required to have a valid email address for registration.  Bid documents are non-refundable and must be purchased through the website.  Project information is also available on the website of the Mississippi Office of State Aid Road Construction under the “Bid Calendars” tab.
 
Bidders are hereby notified that any proposal accompanied by letters qualifying in any manner the condition under which the proposal is tendered will be considered an irregular bid and such proposal will not be considered in making the award.
