SEALED BIDS will be received in the West Bank Purchasing Department, Suite 4400, Jefferson Parish General Government Building, 200 Derbigny Street, Gretna, LA 70053 until 2:00pm, September 19, 2017 and publicly opened thereafter.  For convenience, bidders may also submit bids in the East Bank Purchasing Department, Suite 404, Jefferson Parish Joseph S. Yenni Building, 1221 Elmwood Park Blvd., Jefferson, LA 70123.  However, if submitting bids on the day of bid opening, bidders must submit at the West Bank location only.  All bids will be publicly opened at the West Bank location at 2:00pm for the following:
 
PROPOSAL NO. 50-00120696 – LEASE OF IMMOVABLE JEFFERSON PARISH PROPERTY
 
The Parish of Jefferson, State of Louisiana, hereby advertises for the submission of bids to lease an approximately 59,934 square foot tract of land, consisting of a portion of Lot X-5, Soniat Plantation, zoned C-2, located just east of the Soniat Canal and west of David Drive with frontage on Veterans Boulevard, for a starting minimum bid of $39,900.00 per year.  The surface lease shall be subject to the condition that no buildings or other structures shall be erected on the lease site.  In addition to the annual lease amount, the successful bidder shall be responsible for one-time costs for the resubdivision, rezoning and advertisement of said lease site in the total amount of $10,916.38.  Bid Applications can be obtained through the Jefferson Parish Purchasing Department, Jefferson Parish General Government Building, 200 Derbigny St., Suite 4400, Gretna, LA 70053

Each bid must be accompanied by a 10% deposit in the form of a cashier’s check or certified check.                
 
The Jefferson Parish Council reserves the right to accept or reject any and all bids, in whole or part, for just cause pursuant to the law.
