ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
Pointe Coupee Parish Government (herein referred to as the "Contracting Agency") hereby solicits sealed bids for the False River Ecosystem Restoration – Phase III Retaining Wall Replacement Discharge Bayou project described as follows:
Removal and replacement of bulkhead along Discharge Bayou and appurtenances.

Sealed Bids shall be addressed to the Pointe Coupee Parish Government, and delivered to the Government Office located at 160 East Main Street, New Roads, Louisiana 70760 not later than 2:00 p.m., on the 28th day of April, 2021. Any bid received after the specified time and date will not be considered. The sealed bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at 2:00 p.m. on the 28th day of April, 2021, in the Government Meeting Room at the Pointe Coupee Government Office located at 160 East Main Street, New Roads, Louisiana 70760.
The Information for Bidders, Bid Form, Form of Contract, Plans, Specifications, and Forms of Bid Bond, Performance Bond and Payment Bond, and other contract documents may be examined at the Office of the Engineer for the contract; Professional Engineering Consultants Corp. located at 7600 Innovation Park Drive, Baton Rouge, La 70820; (225-769-2810). Copies shall be obtained at this office upon payment of a deposit of $150.00. This deposit will be refunded upon request in accordance with R.S. 38:2212. Validation of the Contractor’s license and classifications will be made prior to release of bid documents.
Pursuant to the Louisiana Revised Statute, vendors/contractors now have the option to submit their bids and bid bonds, electronically. Official Electronic Bid Documents are available at Central Bidding. Central Bidding can be accessed at www.centralbidding.com. To view bids, download, and receive bid notices by email, your company/agency will need to register at www.centralbidding.com prior to the deadline.
Contractors submitting bids shall be licensed under LA License R.S. 37:2150-2164, Heavy Construction. The bidder shall show his license number on the bid and on the sealed envelope submitting the bid.
The Contracting Agency reserves the right to reject any and all bids for just cause; such actions will be in accordance with Title 38 of the Louisiana Revised Statutes.
In accordance with R.S. 38:2212 (A)(1)(b), the provisions and requirements stated in the Advertisement for Bids and those required on the Bid Form shall not be considered as informalities and shall not be waived.
Each Bidder must deposit with his/her bid, security in the amount of at least five percent (5%) of the total bid price, provided on the specified form and subject to the conditions provided in the Information for Bidders. Sureties used for obtaining bonds must appear as acceptable on the U. S. Department of Treasury Circular 570.
No bidder may withdraw his/her bid within forty-eight (48) hours after the bid opening, excluding the weekend and legal holidays in accordance with LA R.S. 38:2214. All Bids shall remain open for forty-five (45) calendar days after the date of bid opening as provided by LA R.S. 38:2215.
The Contracting Agency shall award or reject all bids within forty-five (45) calendar days after bid opening in accordance with LA R.S. 38:2215. Extensions in thirty (30) day increments by mutual written agreement are permitted by the statute.
