Sealed bids will be received, opened and publicly read aloud at the office of the Executive Director, 222 Jet Ranger X Dr., Lafayette Regional Airport, Lafayette, Louisiana until 1:00 p.m. c.s.t. on June 05, 2018 for:
 
Lafayette Airport Commission - Lafayette Regional Airport - 2017 Terminal Enabling Demolition Package
 
Bids received after the above-specified time for opening will be returned unopened to the sender.
 
The work consists of, but is not limited to:
Demolition of 1 hangar structure, 3 building structures and 1 tower structure including backfilling removed foundations.
Asbestos abatement and removal of regulated materials.
Demolition of fencing and controlled access gates
Temporary security fencing
Security fencing, 2 access control gates and relocation of 1 turnstile gate
Modifications to access control and security system
Relocation of air to ground radio equipment 

A pre-bid conference is scheduled for 9:00 am. on Wednesday, May 23, 2018 @ the LFT Staff Administration Building – 222 Jet Ranger X Dr., Lafayette, LA 70508.  This pre-bid conference is non-mandatory mandatory. However, no site visits will be allowed outside of the pre-bid conference.
 
Bids shall be accepted from Contractors who are licensed under LA. R.S. 37:2150-2192 for the classification of Building Construction. Bidder is required to comply with provisions and requirements of LA R.S. 38:2212(B)(5). No bid may be withdrawn for a period of forty-five (45) days after receipt of bids, except under the provisions of LA. R.S. 38:2214.

The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids for just cause. In accordance with La. R.S. 38:2212(B)(1), the provisions and requirements of this Section; and those stated in the bidding documents shall not be waived by any entity.
