ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
BID PROPOSAL NO. 19-001
 
Sealed bids will be received until the hour of 10:00 A.M. CST on Wednesday, August 15, 2018, at Jefferson Parish Human Services Authority, located at 3616 South I-10 Service Road West, Suite 200, Metairie, LA 70001, and publicly opened upon completion of administrative tasks for the following:  Administration Suite Renovations at Jefferson Parish Human Services Authority, 5001 West Bank Expressway, Marrero, LA 70072 
 
 The project work consists of interior administrative office suite renovations within an existing office building as described in the Construction Documents.
 
All bids must be in accordance with the contract documents on file with the Jefferson Parish Human Services Authority Fiscal Services Office, 3616 South I-10 Service Road West, Suite 200, Metairie, LA 70001.  All bidders must show the Bid Proposal Number and Contractors License Number on the outside of their bid envelope and on the bid proposal.  Late bids will not be accepted.
 
Each Bid must be accompanied by certified check, cashier’s check, or bid bond acceptable to the owner in the amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total amount bid, and payable without condition to the owner as a guarantee that the bidder, if awarded the contract, will promptly execute a contract in accordance with his proposal and all terms and conditions of the contract documents.
 
The drawings and specifications are on file and open for inspection in the Jefferson Parish Human Services Authority Facilities Maintenance Office, 3616 South I-10 Service Road West, Suite 200, Metairie, LA 70001 (Phone 504-578-1560.  A complete set of Contract Documents may be secured from  Burgdahl & Graves AIA Architects, 2550 Belle Chasse Hwy., Suite 130, Gretna, LA 70053 (Phone 504-366-4433, FAX 504-366-0102)  by licensed contractors upon receipt of a deposit of $  75.00  per set.  Deposit on the first set of documents furnished to bona fide prime bidders will be fully refunded upon return of documents to Burgdahl & Graves AIA Architects in good condition no later than ten (10) days after JPHSA’s receipt of bids.
 
The successful bidder will be required to furnish a performance bond guaranteeing faithful performance of the contract.  Companies providing the bonds shall comply with the requirements of LRS-R.S. 38:2218 and R.S. 38:2219 as applicable.
 
JPHSA reserves the right to accept or reject any or all proposals, in whole or in part, and waive informalities, pursuant to the law.  This is an all or none bid.
 
A Mandatory Pre-Bid Conference will be held at 10:00 A.M. CST on Tuesday, July 31, 2018, at Jefferson Parish Human Services Authority, located at 5001 West Bank Expressway, Suite 100, Room 118, Marrero, LA 70072.  All interested parties are invited to attend.  
                                      
Contractors arriving after 10:00 A.M. CST will not be admitted into the Mandatory Pre-Bid Conference. Contractors who do not attend the Mandatory Pre-Bid Conference are not eligible to submit proposals.

Could the architect please take the shadding out of the key notes and details. It is very hard to distinguish with so much going on. If the numbers and letters were on a white background, it would be much easier

In regards to drywall finishes, in one place it states to match existing finishes. In another it states to have Level 5 finish everywhere we do work. The existing drywall finishes are horrible! Are we to leave this place with a Level 5 finish in all 3 areas. If so, everything we looked at will need to be re-done. Please clarify,
