Sealed bids will be received for the Lady of the Sea General Hospital - Hospital and Laundry Buildings Demolition until 1:00 p.m. central daylight time, July 20, 2023. Bids may be submitted electronically to Central Bidding - Login Area Menu (www.centralauctionhouse.com). Alternatively, sealed bids may be delivered to Lady of the Sea General Hospital, 200 West 134 Place, Cut Off, LA 70345, Attn: Stacy Martin, Vice President of Procurement. Bids will be addressed to Hospital Service District No 1 for the Parish of Lafourche, State of Louisiana, d/b/a Lady of the Sea General Hospital, as Owner, and will be publicly opened and read on the date and time listed above.

The Hospital and Laundry Buildings Demolition project is being bid as a single project with two components, the demolition of the Hospital building and the demolition of the Laundry building, for award to a single contractor. Due to FEMA funding and administrative requirements, separate
contracts will be awarded for each building.

All bids shall be accompanied by bid security in an amount of five percent (5.0%) of the sum of the base bid and all alternates. The form of this security shall be as stated in the Instructions to Bidders included in the Bid Documents for this project.

The successful Bidder shall be required to furnish a Performance and Payment Bond written as described in the Instructions to Bidders included in the Bid Documents for this project.
ATTENDANCE AT THIS PRE-BID CONFERENCE IS MANDATORY.

Bids shall be accepted only from Contractors who are licensed under LA. R.S. 37:2150-2163. The Bidder shall certify that he is licensed under La. R.S. 37:2150, et seq. by including the name of the project and the name, address and license number of the Bidder on the bid envelope. Bidder is required to comply with provisions and requirements of LA R.S.38:2212 (B)(5). No bid may be withdrawn for a period of forty (45) days after receipt of bids, except under the provisions of LA. R.S. 38:2214.

The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids for just cause. In accordance with La. R.S. 38:2212(B)(1), the provisions and requirements of that Section, and those stated in the bidding documents, shall not be waived by the Owner.

Bids may be submitted electronically in accordance with La. R.S. 38:2212(E)(1). Electronic bids shall be submitted to www.centralauctionhouse.com. The electronic bid must be accompanied by a scanned copy of the bid security being furnished (either Bid Bond, cashier's check or certified check). If furnishing either a cashier's check or a certified check as the bid security, Bidder shall also include the original check in a sealed envelope to be delivered and received by the Owner at the date, time and place for submitting non-electronic bids. The Bidder shall include the name of the Bidder, the Project name and the words "Bid Security for Electronic Bid" on the outside of the sealed envelope.

The Owner shall incur no obligation to the Contractor until the contract between Owner and Contractor is fully executed.
