REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL FOR
FOOD SERVICE MANAGEMENT

The Hattiesburg Public Schools (HPS) is accepting proposals for the MANAGEMENT OF FOOD SERVICE OPERATIONS from qualified Food Service Management Companies (FSMC).
 
Proposal due date is May 24, 2024 at 2:00 pm (CST).
 
Proposals should be sealed, boxed and labeled:
RFP #24-015 FOOD SERVICES MANAGEMENT PROPOSAL, with the appropriate date and time on label.
 
HPS has approximately three thousand eight hundred students (3,800) enrolled. HPS has one (1) high school, one (1) middle school, five (5) elementary, one (1) Alternative school and one (1) Academy which is a satellite kitchen.
 
Type of Agreement: The Agreement to be negotiated with the successful FSMC will be for a “fixed cost” or “cost reimbursable” type. Vendors can submit one proposal or both.
 
All FSMCs proposing must be aware of all current and pending federal regulations regarding school food service management (such as all recent and upcoming changes in the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) regulations related to the Healthy Hunger Free Kids Act (HHFKA).
 
By submitting a proposal all FSMCs acknowledge their compliance of all existing and proposed federal guidelines that may affect a FSMC.

The Hattiesburg Public Schools reserves the right to reject any and/or all proposals so received and also the right to waive any irregularities not in violation of the law.
Additionally, the HPS may conduct negotiations deemed necessary and appropriate.
