Bid Law Requirement Update: Act 406
Vendors will be required to submit certain documentation with RFP submission, i.e. affidavits, proof of insurance, etc. These requirements will be outlined specifically in the instructions of each RFP package. Vendors should continue to carefully read and respond accordingly per the requirements of the RFP packages. These changes are pursuant Louisiana Public Bid Law more specifically, Act 406 of the 2016 Louisiana Legislative Regular Session. Jefferson Parish Department of Purchasing is soliciting Request for Proposals (RFPs) from qualified firms to provide Security Guard Services for the Jefferson Parish Department of Security.
 
To provide Security Guard Services for a period of Two (2) years at various locations throughout the Parish of Jefferson.
 
All proposals will be evaluated on criteria such as vendor’s technical proposal, qualifications and experience, financial profile and proposal responsiveness and other criteria more specifically defined in the RFP document.  The maximum total points for each proposal are set at 100 points

Just a clarification question, is the bid submission postponed or just the opening, ie...are proposals still due tomorrow but the opening has been delayed until further notice, or is submission on hold as well?

The addendum does not address how to handle the bid bond submission. How do we submit this, if not in physical form?

Thank you for clarification on the bid bond and that we must now submit on through your central bidding portal. However, we had prepared a hard copy to be submitted along with our original and hardcopies submissions. Can you tell me how quickly this online bonding process may take....and if we start this today, will we be able to make the deadline for tomorrow?

Please confer with the bonding agency that you choose from the list provided when you clicked on this link: https://www.centralauctionhouse.com/central-bidding/bid-bonds, The agencies will be able to give you a time frame. Please inform them that you have already secured a bond and with whom. Once they have provided you with a secure validation number, that is what you will enter in the box for the bond. (validation number)

Under the Submit RFP Page, it states that we need to enter a Contractor ID. Is this the same as our Vendor ID for State Procurement?

The RFP Evaluation Committee meeting has been scheduled for November 24, 2020 at 1:00 P.M. at the Joseph S. Yenni Building, Suite 405, Jefferson, LA 70123. This is a Public Meeting, meaning that anyone can attend. Be mindful that we will practice Social Distancing and Wear Mask.
