NOTICE TO BIDDERS
Notice is hereby given that the Vernon Parish Police Jury, PO Box 1548, Leesville, Louisiana, 71496, will receive sealed bids until Tuesday, May 9, 2023, at 10 a.m. Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud; bids received after specified closing time will not be accepted.  All interested parties are welcome at bid opening. The Vernon Parish Police Jury reserves the right to reject any or all bids for just cause, in accordance with R.S. 38:2212 & 2214.
IMPORTANT:  BID ENVELOPE MUST BE MARKED WITH COMPANY NAME, ITEM BEING BID, DATE, AND TIME OF BID OPENING, AND CONTRACTOR’S LICENSE NUMBER (if applicable).

Bid specifications may be viewed online and bids may be submitted online at www.centralbidding.com.
 TO BE BID
1.      Gravel: washed gravel, washed pea gravel, road gravel, oversize gravel picked up or delivered to various locations in Vernon Parish, as needed for 2023, for maintenance and construction purposes, the Police Jury may purchase any type of material.  Gravel must meet Louisiana Standard Specifications for roads and bridges, for May 1 – December 30, 2023.  Low bidder must allow Police Jury to check sample of gravel before final acceptance of low bid to be certain gravel meets specifications as advertised. 
Reclaimed Asphalt:  price per ton at plant site to be picked up by the parish as needed, for May 1 – December 31, 2023, for maintenance purposes only.
Crushed Concrete:  price per ton at plant site to be picked up by the parish as needed, for 1 – December 31, 2023, for maintenance purposes only.
