FOR LEASE OF
LAND AND IMPROVEMENTS
119 SHEPARD DRIVE
LAFAYETTE REGIONAL AIRPORT
Notice is hereby given that the Lafayette Airport Commission, hereinafter referred to as "LAC", acting pursuant to the authority of La. R.S. 2:131, et seq., La. R.S. 2:601, et seq., and the applicable provisions of La. R.S. 41:1211, et seq., will receive sealed Bids at the LAC Administrative Office, 222 Tower Drive, Lafayette, Louisiana 70508, until 10:00 A.M., local time, on Monday, July 13, 2020 for the following described purposes. All Bids submitted after that time will be returned unopened.
The LAC desires to lease the land and improvements at 119 Shepard Drive, containing approximately a total of 12,240 square feet of gross building area on a .619-acre site. It contains 9,840 square feet of hangar space, 2,400 square feet of finished climate controlled space and 2,400 square foot parking canopy at the Lafayette Regional Airport, Lafayette, Louisiana, with such limitations and restrictions as are more fully described in the Bid Document.
The property and floor plan of facility to be leased is shown in "EXHIBIT A", and of "APPENDIX G - LEASE".
The term of this Lease shall be for a period of ten (10) years, extending from September 01, 2020 through August 31, 2030
The Bid Document, which includes the Lease, may be obtained at offices of the LAC, 222 Tower Drive, Lafayette, Louisiana 70508, (337) 266-4401, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Each interested party requesting a printed Bid Document will be required to submit, to the LAC, a Fifty and No/100 dollar ($50.00) non-refundable deposit to cover the cost of reproduction. The complete Bid Document in PDF format may be obtained by sending an email request to Jennifer Comeaux at firstname.lastname@example.org. The Bid Document is also available online and bids may also be submitted online at: https://www.centralauctionhouse.com. Use only original bid forms which are part of the “BID DOCUMENT.” The LAC does not assume any responsibility for errors or misinterpretations resulting from the use of incomplete sets of the “BID DOCUMENT.” All request along with questions and/or clarifications must be received in writing.
A Pre-Bid Conference will be held at 222 Tower Drive, Lafayette, Louisiana 70508, at 9:00 A.M., local time, Tuesday, June 30, 2020. All interested parties are encouraged to attend. A site visit of the available property will be held immediately following the pre-bid meeting. No additional site visits will be allowed unless directly requested by the LAC.
The LAC reserves the right to waive any irregularities in any Bid, to reject any or all Bids, or to re-advertise for Bids.
Each Bid must be accompanied by a bid security (certified check or money order only) for an amount equal to TEN (10%) of the total bid.
The Lease will be awarded to the Bidder submitting highest Bid which yields the greatest benefits to the public in financial return. In order to ensure the financial return to the public, the LAC may, in its sole discretion, require the successful Bidder to provide a guaranty of the Lease by a parent/affiliate company and/or individual owner(s) of the Bidder who are acceptable to the LAC. All interested persons are invited to submit Bids.
All Bidders shall comply with the Lafayette Regional Airport Security Requirements, which include but are not limited to, a written certification.
