Sealed bids will be received for Leonard J. Chabert Medical Center Switchgear Replacement at Leonard J. Chabert Medical Center, Director of Facilities Management, Attn: Craig Guillot, 1978 Industrial Blvd., Houma, LA 70363, YKH PROJECT NUMBER: 2011001 on 2:00 PM, Tuesday, August 9, 2022, at which time bids will be opened in public in the Administration 2nd Floor Conference room for the following:
Leonard J. Chabert medical center Switchgear replacement
All bids should be submitted in a sealed envelope clearly marked
“BID ON LEONARD J. CHABERT MEDICAL CENTER SWITCHGEAR REPLACEMENT DO NOT OPEN UNTIL BID OPENING”
including bid amount, name, address and telephone number of bidder. Address envelope to Leonard J. Chabert Medical Center, Director of Facilities Management, Attn: Craig Guillot, 1978 Industrial Blvd., Houma, LA 70363.
Any bid received after 2:00 PM – Tuesday, August 9, 2022, shall be returned to the bidder unopened.
Complete Bid Documents for this project are available in electronic form. They may be obtained from www.centralauctionhouse.com. Printed copies are not available from the Designer, but arrangements can be made to obtain them through most reprographic firms. Plan holders are responsible for their own reproduction costs. All bids shall be accompanied by bid security in an amount of five percent (5.0%) of the sum of the base bid and all alternates. The form of this security shall be as stated in the Instructions to Bidders included in the Bid Documents for this project.
The successful bidder shall be required to furnish a performance and payment bond written by a company licensed to do business in Louisiana, in an amount equal to 100% of the contract amount.
A MANDATORY PRE-BID MEETING WILL BE HELD at 10:00 am on Tuesday, July 26, 2022 at Leonard J Chabert Medical Center Maintenance office, 1978 Industrial Blvd., Houma, LA 70363. Please send an RSVP to Perry Hogan at email@example.com at least (7) days prior to the pre-bid conference.
The Contractor shall hold a Louisiana Contractor’s license in Electrical work. Each bid shall be accompanied by a bid bond, certified check or cashier’s check for an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total base bid. An executed affidavit must be submitted prior to bid award. Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of forty-five (45) days after receipt of bids, except under the provisions of LA. R.S. 38:2214.
Bids may also be submitted electronically by going to www.centralauctionhouse.com. Contractors opting to submit an electronic bid will be required to register on the website and pay a one-time annual service fee for this service.
The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids for just cause. In accordance with La. R.S. 38:2212(B)(1), the provisions and requirements of this Section; and those stated in the bidding documents shall not be waived by any entity.
Bidders need not be present for opening of bids.
