Sealed bids will be received by the Iberia Parish School Board at any time or day prior to, but not later than 5:30pm on Wednesday, June 18, 2014 for A New Classroom Building at Loreauville High School in Loreauville, Louisiana for the Iberia Parish School Board.
A MANDATORY PRE-BID CONFERENCE will be held on Monday, June 9, 2014 at 10:00 AM at Loreauville High School in Loreauville, Louisiana. to allow prospective bidders to review the project scope and site conditions. Attendance is mandatory. Only those contractors in attendance will be allowed to bid the project.
Bids may be mailed to the Iberia Parish School Board, Attn: David Delahoussaye, P.O. Box 200, New Iberia, Louisiana 70562-0200 or delivered to 1500 Jane Street, New Iberia, Louisiana 70560 between the hours of 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM on any working day prior to the bid opening or delivered a the time of the bid opening as stated above or bids may be submitted electronically at www.centralauctionhouse.com prior to the time of the bid opening.
All bids, properly submitted, will be open and read at the Iberia Parish School Board Meeting held on Wednesday, June 18, 2014 at 5:30 pm in the Board Room of the Iberia Parish School Board Administrative Office located at 1500 Jane Street, New Iberia, Louisiana.
No bids may be withdrawn within thirty (30) days after scheduled closing time for receipt of bids. Only bona fide sealed bids shall be considered at opening time. Bids received after closing time shall be returned unopened.
Each bid shall be accompanied by a bid security in an amount of not less than five (5%) percent of the total bid amount. Said bid security shall be a cashier?s check, certified check or bid bond with power of attorney in favor of the Iberia Parish School Board. Money orders and/or company checks will not be acceptable.
The contract documents for the proposed work are on file and may be inspected at the office of Darby Architects, 101 S. Evangeline Street, New Iberia, La. 70560. Contract documents are available upon deposit of one hundred dollars ($100.00) per set, which is totally refundable to any bidder and half refundable to material suppliers, sub-contractors and non bidders, upon return of plans and specifications in good condition within 14 days of the bid opening.
