NOTICE TO BECOME MUNICIPAL DEPOSITORY
Pursuant to Mississippi Code of 1972, Annotated, Section 27-105-305 and Section 27-105-353, and Section 27-105-363, the Mayor and Board of Aldermen of the City of Hernando, County of DeSoto, State of Mississippi, will receive RFP bids from all qualified financial institutions, as determined by Section 27-105-315 of the Mississippi Code of 1972, Annotated, as amended, located within the Municipality until 3:00 o’clock p.m., Thursday, the 20th day of January 2022, to be publicly opened at that time. Bids should be plainly marked on the front of the envelope “RFP for City of Hernando Depository Services “and may be delivered in person to the City Clerk’s Office located at 475 W. Commerce Street, Hernando, MS. Also, bids may be mailed to the City of Hernando, Attention City Clerk, Pam Pyle, 475 W. Commerce Street, Hernando, MS 38632 and plainly marked on the front of the envelope “RFP for City of Hernando Depository Services.” Any bid sent through the US Mail is done so at the risk of the bank submitting said bid. In addition, official bid documents can be downloaded from Central Bidding at www.centralbidding.com. Electronic bids can also be submitted at www.centralbidding.com. The bid results will be presented to the Board of Aldermen on February 1, 2022, to become the municipal depository for the City of Hernando, County of DeSoto, State of Mississippi, for a two (2) year or four (4) year period as provided by Section 27-105-363 and Section 27-105-305 of the Mississippi Code of 1972, Annotated, as amended, for the deposit of all municipal funds and subdivisions thereof and funds of the municipal tax collector or any part of said funds.
