Advertisement for Bids                  
Notice is hereby given that a sealed bid will be received by the Lafayette Parish School System by the Purchasing Department located at 113 Chaplin Drive, Lafayette, LA 70508 for the following:
 
Bids will be marked as follows:
 
                        Purchase & Removal of a Four (4) Room Quadplex Building
                        Bid# 48-19
                        Opening:  December 12, 2018 @ 10:00 am CST
 
The bid #48-19 is an option to purchase, remove, and haul off the entire Quadplex Building including commons area or to demolish structure onsite, load, and dispose offsite.  Bids submitted for a part or parts of the Quadplex Building individually will be rejected; this Quadplex building will be bid as an “ALL - or – NONE” bid.
 
The total building structure consists of four (4) separate units each measuring approximately 34’ L x 28’ W.  The units are arranged and tied in with a central common-area which consists of restrooms and offices.  The total complex is wood framed with a wood sheathed exterior and wood sheathed and lapboard interior walls and cathedral ceilings.  Each of the four (4) units has similar floor plan layouts with an open area design and a smaller portioned area.
 
A non-mandatory pre-bid conference will be held at S.J. Montgomery Elementary School at 10:00 a.m. CST on December 3, 2018 at 10:00 am CST.
                       
Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at the above stated time and date in the Personnel Conference Room of the Lafayette Parish School System Central Office Building.
 
No bids may be withdrawn for a period of forty-five (45) days after receipt of bids.
 
Complete bidding documents may be obtained on the Purchasing Department website at www.lpssonline.com/purchasing.  Bid information may also be viewed online, and electronic bids may be submitted online at www.centralauctionhouse.com.
 
The owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids for just cause.  In accordance with LA. R.S. 38:2212 (a)(1)(b), the provisions and requirements of this section, those stated in the Advertisement for Bids, and those required on the bid form shall not be waived by any public entity.
 
The Lafayette Public School System strongly encourages the participation of minority business enterprises in all contracts or procurements let by the Board for goods and services.  To that end, all contractors and suppliers are encouraged to utilize minority business enterprises in the purchase of sub-contracting of materials, supplies, and services in which minority owned businesses are available.
