BID PROPOSAL NUMBER 50-112464
 
Sealed bids will be received until the hour of 2:00 p.m., local time on Tuesday, March 24, 2015 in the Purchasing Department, Suite 4400, Jefferson Parish General Government Building, located at 200 Derbigny Street, Gretna, Louisiana, 70053, and publicly opened upon completion of administrative tasks for the following: 
Rehabilitation of Landfill Leachate Collection System
 
The project work will include a Base Bid and no alternates.  The Base Bid includes the repair and/or replacement of power panels, submersible leachate riser pumps, and controllers as indicated in the drawings; Replace existing Lift station No. 2 with new packaged Lift station with duplex self-priming pumps; Install New Slab and Foundation for Lift Station No. 2; the relocation of the pressure relief valve in the force main; and provide and install a generator for Lift Station 2 at the Jefferson Parish Sanitary Landfill in Avondale, Louisiana.
 
Determination of the lowest Bidder shall be on the basis of the Base Bid only or the sum of the Base Bid.  The selection of the base bid versus the combination of the Base Bid will be determined based on available funds for this project at the time of award, and will be subject to the Owner’s and Engineer’s evaluation of the corresponding Bid Form and Bid Form attachments, in accordance with all applicable bidding requirements and the provisions of the Louisiana Public Contracts Law.
 
All bids must be in accordance with the contract documents on file with the Jefferson Parish Purchasing Department, Suite 4400, Jefferson Parish General Government Building, at 200 Derbigny Street, Gretna, Louisiana.  All bidders must show the Bid Proposal Number 50-112464 on the outside of their bid envelope and on the bid proposal.  Late bids will not be accepted.
 
Each Bid must be accompanied by certified check, cashier’s check, or bid bond acceptable to the owner in the amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total amount bid, including all alternates, and payable without condition to the owner as a guarantee that the bidder, if awarded the contract, will promptly execute a contract in accordance with his proposal and all terms and conditions of the contract documents.
 
The drawings and specifications are on file and open for inspection in the Jefferson Parish Purchasing Department, Suite 4400, Jefferson Parish General Government Building, at 200 Derbigny Street, Gretna, Louisiana.  A complete set of Contract Documents may be secured from Infinity Engineering Consultants, L.L.C. 2626 Canal Street, Suite 202, New Orleans, LA 70119 (PHONE 504-304-0548, FAX 504-355-0265) by licensed contractors upon receipt of $100 per set.  Deposit on the first set of documents furnished bona fide prime bidders will be fully refunded upon return of documents in good condition no later than ten (10) days after receipts of bids.
 
The successful bidder will be required to furnish a performance bond guaranteeing faithful performance of the contract.  Companies providing the bonds shall comply with the requirements of LRS-R.S. 38:2218 and R.S. 38:2219 as applicable.  The Jefferson Parish Council reserves the right to reject all bids and to reject bids for just cause, pursuant to the law.
 
A Pre-Bid Conference will be held on Thursday, March 5, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at the Jefferson Parish Landfill, 5800 Hwy 90 W, Avondale, LA 70094.   All interested parties are URGED to attend.
