1.02 TO: POTENTIAL BIDDERS
A. Your firm is invited to submit an offer under seal to Owner for the repairs required to District properties damaged by Hurricane Zeta.
Before 2:00 pm central standard time on the 21st day of May 2021, for:
B. Project Name: Roof Replacement
C. Project Number: 2021.002
D. Project Description: This project will consist of removal and replacement of roofs as outlined in the scope of work.
E. Bid Documents may be obtained by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
F. Bidders will be required to provide Bid security in the form of a Bid Bond of a sum no less than 5 percent of the Bid Amount or a certified check in the amount of no less than 5 percent of the Bid Amount.
G. Submit your offer on the Bid Form provided. Bidders may supplement this form as appropriate.
H. If Bids are mailed or hand-delivered, then they must be contained in a sealed envelope marked on the outside with the project name. They must be on file as received or delivered by the time stated above to the address of the Owner stated above. The Owner is NOT responsible for bids which are mailed to the wrong address or which arrive in the mail after the designated bid opening time.
I. Electronic Bid Submission will be accepted on this project. Online bids can be placed on the website of Central Bidding at www.centralbidding.com. If Bids are electronically submitted, then a title page containing the same information as would occur on the front of a sealed envelope must be included and must be clearly indicated as such in the file name. J. Bids in excess of $50,000.00 must be marked on the outside of the envelope with the contractor's Mississippi certificate of responsibility number as issued by the Mississippi Board of Contractors.
K. Per the Mississippi Law, MS Code 31-3-21(3); any bid submitted by a non-resident contractor which does not include the non-resident contractor's current state law pertaining to such state's treatment of non-resident contractors, shall be rejected and not considered for award. If no such law exists in the non-resident contractor's state, then the non-resident contractor may provide a statement to that effect.
L. Your offer will be required to be submitted under a condition of irrevocability for a period of 60 days after submission.
M. The Owner reserves the right to accept or reject any or all offers.
