Requesting SEALED quotes for REMOVAL AND DISPOSAL OF ASBESTOS MATERIALS as per specifications listed on attached for the following:
Lafayette Police Department Asbestos Abatement
 
Sealed written quotes will be taken until closing time (5:00 pm CST) June 27, 2025.
 
Work must be completed according to the attached specifications.
 
Contractors or contracting firms submitting quotes shall certify that they are licensed under Chapter 24 of Title 37 of the Louisiana Revised Statues of 1950 and show their license number on the outside of the sealed envelope in which their quote is enclosed. Quotes are to have the license number and the Contracting Firm/Company Name on the outside of the envelope. Contractors must be licensed for the classification of “Asbestos Abatement”.

Work must be completed within thirty (30) days of notice to proceed given by the appropriate authorizing agency. The successful contractor must not begin work until a notice to proceed has been issued and the Receipt of Purchase Order.
All federal, state, parish, and city taxes due and payable on this bid shall be included in the amount bid on the quote form.
The successful vendor shall be required to furnish the attached certificate of Insurance Liability that includes the following, as stated on the Information Purposes Only sample provided with the bid package: Item I – Workers’ Compensation with Statutory Limits and Employers; Liability of $1,000,000; Item II – Commercial General Liability with minimum coverage of $1,000,000 to include Pollution Liability, Asbestos Abatement Liability, Item III – Business Automobile Liability of $500,000; Item V – Lafayette City-Parish Consolidated Government, its officials, employees, and volunteers’ as additional insureds; Item VI – Coverage afforded to the Lafayette-City-Parish Consolidated Government, its officials, employees and volunteers, as additional insureds, is to apply as primary and not as excess or contributing to any other insurance issued in the name of the named or additional insured(s) where required by written contract, Item VII – A waiver of subrogation provided in favor of the named additional insureds on the Workers’ Compensation policy, Item VIII – General Liability and Automobile policies are primary and noncontributory where required by written contract, Item X – General Liability, Auto Liability, and Workers Compensation policies should contain a 30 day notice of cancellation. Please refer to the sample provided for the exact wording to use on items V, VI, and VII.
It is suggested that you speak with your insurance agent prior to submitting a quote concerning the insurance and endorsements required by these specifications, as there could be additional premiums associated with this requirement.

Submitted electronically, if you are a registered vendor, via the Supplier Portal Website at www.Centralbidding.com. Those submitting online are required to submit all original documents to the Purchasing Department within 48 hours of the quote deadline. Failure to submit original documents within 48 hours of bid opening date may result in rejection of your quote.
