 Ducks Unlimited, Inc., the Nation's leader in wetland conservation, is seeking bids for the Lagow Marsh Water Control Structures Project.  We are having a mandatory pre-bid meeting and site showing to interested contractors from our bidders list at 9:30 A.M. on Wednesday, January 4th 2023. We will meet at the Anahuac NWR Oyster Bayou Boat Ramp, Chambers County, TX 77514 (29°36'50.74"N; 94°31'46.97"W). Contractors interested in seeing the entirety of the project area should bring a boat to facilitate their access.
 
This project base bid generally consists of the construction of 305 C.Y.-P of embankment, the supply and installation of 1 – prefabricated flashboard riser, 32 LF of 63” diameter HDPE pipe, and 5,700 S.Y. of vinyl sheetpile bulkhead. The mandatory additive bid alternate #1 generally consists of the construction of 5 C.Y.-P of embankment, the supply and installation of 1 – prefabricated flashboard riser, 19 LF of 48” diameter HDPE pipe, and 2,580 S.Y. of vinyl sheetpile bulkhead. This work shall also include performing the necessary mobilization, site preparation, excavation, water control, pollution control, seeding, and other items outlined in the plans and specifications or associated with constructing the project according to the plans and specifications. The Contractor shall be responsible for any necessary pollution control measures. The unit price bid for the project shall be payment in full for supplying all materials, equipment, labor and any other necessary incidental items necessary for performing all operations described herein. Ducks Unlimited, Inc. reserves the right to evaluate the bids received, including or excluding any proposed additive or deductive bid alternates, along with the base bid in the determination of low bidder.
