ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
 
 
The Pointe Coupee Parish Government (herein referred to as the "Owner") hereby solicits sealed bids for the LCDBG-CV HVAC Improvements to the Pointe Coupee Parish Detention Center.
 
Sealed bids marked "Sealed Bid -- Parish of Pointe Coupee Community Development Block
Grant Project for Fiscal Year 2021 to be financed by the State of Louisiana CDBG Program” will
be received by the Owner for the construction of the project described as follows: LCDBG-CV HVAC Improvements to the Pointe Coupee Parish Detention Center.
 
Sealed Bids shall be addressed to the Pointe Coupee Parish Government, and delivered to the Parish located at 160 East Main Street, New Roads, LA 70760 not later than 2:00 p.m., on the 22nd  day of September, 2022. Any bid received after the specified time and date will not be considered.  The sealed bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at 2:00 p.m. on the 22nd day of September, 2022, at the  Pointe Coupee Parish Government office located at 160 East Main Street, New Roads, LA 70760.
 
The Information for Bidders, Form of Bid Proposal, Form of Contract, Plans, Specifications, and Forms of Bid Bond, Performance Bond and Payment Bond, and other contract documents may be examined at the Office of located at 2380 Towne Center Blvd Suite 1210, Baton Rouge, LA 70806
 
Complete Bid Documents for this project are available in electronic form. They may be obtained without charge and without deposit from Lettermansbidconnect.com.
 
This deposit will be refunded upon request in accordance with R.S.38:2212.
 
Pursuant to Louisiana Revised Statute 38:2212, vendors/contractors now have the option to submit their bids and bid bonds, electronically.  In addition to paper bids, electronic bids and electronic bid bonds for the project will be downloaded by the Owner. To view bids, download, and receive bid notices by email, your company/agency will need to register at www.centralbidding.com prior to the deadline. 
 
The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids for just cause; such actions will be in accordance with Title 38 of the Louisiana Revised Statutes.
 
Each bidder must have an active Unique Entity ID (SAM), as verified on www.sam.gov, prior to the beginning of construction.
 
Each Bidder must deposit with his/her bid, security in the amount, form, and subject to the conditions provided in the Information for Bidders. Sureties used for obtaining bonds must
appear as acceptable on the U. S. Department of Treasury Circular 570.
 
No bidder may withdraw his/her bid within forty-five (45) days after the actual date of the
opening thereof.
 
The Contractor shall begin mobilization and procurement of materials within ten (10) working
days of the receipt of the Notice to Proceed.
 
The Attention of Bidders is called particularly to the requirements for conditions of employment
to be observed and minimum wage rates to be paid under the Contract, Section 3, Segregated
Facilities, Executive Order 11246, and all applicable laws and regulations of the Federal
government and State of Louisiana and bonding and insurance requirements.
 
Any person with disabilities requiring special accommodations must contact the Parish of Pointe Coupee no later than seven (7) days prior to bid opening.
 
IN PARTICULAR, BIDDERS SHOULD NOTE THE REQUIRED ATTACHMENTS AND CERTIFICATIONS TO BE EXECUTED AND SUBMITTED WITH THE BID PROPOSAL AND POST BID. ALSO, MINORITY, FEMALE OWNED AND SECTION 3 (PARISH/LOCAL) CONTRACTING FIRMS ARE ENCOURAGED TO SUBMIT BIDS.
