NOTICE TO BIDDERS

Sealed proposals for labor and materials will be received by the Merryville Housing Authority until 3:00 p.m. on November 13, 2019 at the Merryville Housing Authority Office at 100 Heard Street, Merryville, Louisiana.  A pre-bid conference for contractors and subcontractors will be conducted at the Merryville Housing Authority Office located at 100 Heard Street on November 6, 2019 at 10:00 a.m.  Plans and Specifications may be obtained Merryville Housing Authority Office located at 100 Heard Street, Merryville, Louisiana 70653. All sealed bids must contain Contractor’s Louisiana State General or Roofing License Number on the envelope or the bid will not be opened.

Prime Contractor shall submit bids furnishing all labor, materials and permits of all work for the following project:
 
SIDING/TRIM/SOFFIT REPLACEMENT PROJECT 2019

All bids must be sealed and plainly marked with the Contractor’s License number on the outside of the envelope and will be publicly opened and read on November 19, 2019, at 3:30 p.m.  No proposal may be withdrawn within thirty (30) calendar days after the above scheduled time of opening and the right is reserved to reject any and all bids and to waive informalities.

Bid Bond, equal to not less than five percent (5%) of the bid and made payable to the Merryville Housing Authority must accompany each bid.  Performance Bond for the construction is required upon execution of the contract, equal to one hundred percent (100%) of said contract.  The Merryville Housing Authority shall execute appropriate Contract and all necessary documentation within thirty (30) days after acceptance of the Contractor.  The winning contractor will execute the performance bond.

Current prevailing wages apply.  Bidder must show proof of insurance as required in the General and Special Conditions of the Specifications Requirements.  The Contractor will be paid in full once the project is complete, which is in accordance with the specifications with a 10% retainer that will be held for the 45-Day Lien Period.  All Certified Payroll shall be submitted to the Merryville Housing Authority Office for approval.  Debra Doyle, Executive Director, is the Contracting Officer.

All prime contractors must be registered at www.SAM.gov.
