St. John the Baptist (herein referred to as “Parish”) hereby issues a Request for Proposals (RFP) for qualified licensed Contractors with a minimum of five years’ experience to provide demolition and clearance services for CDBG Demolition and Clearance Program in compliance with all applicable local, Federal, and State statutory requirements with special attention paid to requirements for grants under the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (“HUD”) disaster recovery grant program for Hurricane Isaac as designated in the Disaster Relief Appropriations Act of 2013 (Public Law 113?2, approved January 29, 2013 (the ”Act”) through HUD Grant B?13?DS?22?0001 as well as requirements of the State of Louisiana Office of Community Development/Disaster Recovery Unit and St. John the Baptist requirements.
The Demolition and Clearance Program consists of eleven (11) properties which shall be demolished and cleared. The selected contractor must be a qualified, experienced, and a state licensed/certified construction contractor. The company will demonstrate skills and experience in providing demolition and clearance services for these select structures. The selected contractor will also be responsible for all other work necessary to complete said service in accordance with the terms of this Request for Proposal (“RFP”) and any resulting contract.
A pre-proposal conference will be held on Wednesday, December 13, 2017 at 9:00 a.m. (CST) in the Joel McTopy Council Chambers of the Percy Hebert Building located at 1801 W. Airline Hwy., LaPlace, LA.
Bids are not being accepted on central bidding for this projectAddendum No. 1 changes the location of the Proposal opening from the Joel S. McTopy Council Chambers to the Parish President's Conference Room in the Parish Building.
Addendum No. 2 addresses questions received at the pre-proposal meeting and through emails.
Addendum No. 3 is issued to change the closing date to January 3, 2018 @ 2:45 pm CST. It also revises Exhibit C (submittal form) to include acknowledgement of the addendums. Please use the revised Exhibit C Form in your submittal.
Addendum No. 4 is issued to correct Addendum No. 3. The Submittal form should read (Exhibit B) and the closing date on that form should read: January 3, 2018. Please use the document that reads Exhibit B Rev 2. Also the room for the proposal opening has been changed back to the Joel S. McTopy Chambers in the Parish Building.
