To align with industry standards for maintenance dredging Contracts as well as provide the best value to the Port of South Louisiana, we request that the Pre-Survey, Mobilization / Demobilization, and Post Survey items be
changed from lump sum to each to accommodate for the multiple maintenance dredging events over the 36-months with a 24-month option to renew contract term.

“After the initial dredging to the stated elevation of 10 feet, the contractor will be responsible for maintaining that elevation along with performing surveys three (3) times a year or when necessary.”
• Please confirm that the initial dredging to the stated elevation of 10 feet has been performed.
• It is standard in dredging that the contractor does not warranty the dredge depth after final acceptance of the dredge area. Please clarify the responsibility of the contractor to maintain the 10’ elevation. Would the
contractor need to perform maintenance dredging multiple times per year or once per year annually over the 36-months with a 24-month option to renew contract term?

USACE Permit MVN-2008-3537-CU states “The time limit for maintenance dredging activities, authorized herein, expires 10 years from the effective date of this approval”. Is the permit provided still valid for maintenance
dredging to occur? If not, please provide an updated permit.

The USACE Permit MVN-2008-3537-CU depicts a dredging template tailored around the Port’s property in a condition that existed in 2014. Has there been additional construction, demolition, or modifications to structures
depicted in the permit within the period 2014 to present day? If so, please provide most current drawings of existing structures.
