Replacement of 12&rdquo; Plug valves (Discharge side), 16&rdquo; Plug valves (Suction side), and 12&rdquo; Check Valves at Lift Stations 40 and 41. Lift Station 40 and 41 each have three (3) pumps in which the aforementioned isolation valving will need replacement. The project also includes an alternate to replace the 12&rdquo; Plug Valves (Discharge side) and 16&rdquo; Plug Valves (Suction side) at Lift Station 15. Lift Station 15 has two (2) pumps in which the aforementioned isolation valving needs replaced.

NOTICE OF SOLICITATION FOR SOIL<br />&nbsp;<br />The City of Tuscaloosa is undertaking a federally funded project to extend Tuscaloosa National Airport&rsquo;s primary runway.&nbsp; A future bid advertisement for the project is expected to be announced within the next 120 days.&nbsp;<br /><br />Landowners who have potentially suitable material that can be excavated from their land are encouraged to reach out to general contractors properly licensed to perform work on airfields (Alabama General Contractor&rsquo;s license with H-RR designation).&nbsp; The intent of this notice is to provide additional time for landowners to conduct a geotechnical investigation as a required element of the General Contractor&rsquo;s submitted bid.&nbsp; Such costs associated with these geotechnical efforts are reimbursable only through any agreement made with the General Contractor and not directly with the City of Tuscaloosa.&nbsp;<br /><br />To obtain a copy of the FULL SOLICITATION visit the City of Tuscaloosa website at www.tuscaloosa.com/bids.
