REVERSE AUCTION BIDDING:

• The real-time bidding interface will appear below at the start date and time set by the owner. If you are viewing this page before the set start time of the reverse auction, you may need to refresh the page in your web browser in order to see the real-time bidding interface below.

• The Central Bidding time listed for this Reverse Auction is the official time for the placement of bids. All bidders acknowledge that this Reverse Auction is conducted electronically and relies on hardware, software, internal and external network speeds, as well as other variables that are outside of the control of Central Bidding. Central Bidding does not suggest waiting until the final seconds to place your Reverse Auction Bid. Vendors are solely responsible for the placement of timely bids.

• If you are viewing a Multi-Line Item Reverse Auction and you do not see the next item for bid once the time for that item expires, you may need to refresh/reload your page. You can do so by clicking the "Refresh" or "Reload" button which is normally located near the Home, Forward, and Back buttons in your web browser (depending on which web browser you are currently using).

• For questions regarding automatic extensions of the Reverse Auction time and other Reverse Auction technical information, please refer to the Anti-Bid Sniping section on the Reverse Auction FAQ page.

• When entering a bid amount, you may ONLY enter numbers (and one decimal point if necessary).

DO NOT ENTER A DOLLAR SIGN OR COMMA WITH YOUR BID AMOUNT.

Are the 52 USB Single Unit Chargers intended for desktop or in car use? Preference is a docking station to place in a designated area for charging and uploading capability. In a portable car charger comes with the package that?s acceptable as well, but the preference is a docking station for uploading and charging. For the ask for ability to transfer camera between multiple locations, can you please clarify the mounting locations you desire? Magnet mounts attach the holder to the officer?s uniform shirt. Are the magnet mounts listed on Pg. 4 the only type of mounts you desire? Yes. Magnet mounts attach the holder to the officer?s uniform shirt. For the ask to interface with a two-way radio, what kind/brand of radio is it? Is this a hard requirement? Department currently operates off the Motorola APEX 4000 radio system. This is not a hard requirement. Desired storage solution is cloud-only, correct? Preference is to store to the cloud. Is there any need for wi-fi/4G connected cameras to perform live viewing and/or file download from the field? If so, do you have existing data plans or would vendor also need to include data plan with offer? There is a need for WiFi/4G. City does not currently have a data plan, preference is that a data plan is included with the package. Swappable Battery Requirement: The specification calls for swappable batteries to support extended shifts. Would the City consider allowing alternate battery management approaches?such as body cameras with 12+ hour battery life, in-field charging options, or external battery packs?that meet the same goal of uninterrupted operation during long shifts without requiring battery swapping? Yes. Two-Way Radio Integration for Recording Activation: The RFP specifies the ability to interface with two-way radios to initiate recording. Would the City be open to alternative automatic activation triggers?such as weapon unholstering, light bar engagement, or foot pursuit detection?that similarly ensure reliable video capture during critical incidents? Additionally, some systems offer safeguards like pre-event buffering or automated video recovery, which can also support the City's intent for comprehensive incident documentation. Yes. Is it expected that prospective vendors only submit the 4 initialed pages (with comments on the ?Considerations? section)? Or are vendors allowed to submit a separate proposal. If participating in the online process, on Friday, 04/11/2025, an unpriced proposal should be uploaded. This proposal should provide enough detail for the Police Department to determine if your submission meets the bid specifications. If so, you will be authorized to place your bid amount on Monday, Is there a specific way the city would like us to notate any deviations from the Body Camera considerations? For example, the absence of 2-way radio integration and a swappable battery. No specific way is required. This should be notated on tomorrow when you submit the unpriced proposal. The information sheet names ?unpriced proposals? due on April 11, and the bid due on April 14. It is not clear what documents are supposed to be submitted on each date. On 04/11/2025, submit your proposal without a price. Police Department must determine if your proposal meets the specifications. On 04/14/2025, submit the price in the online Central Bidding portal. Is pricing expected to be evenly distributed across 3 annual payments, or is a larger year 1 payment (for hardware and other capital expenses) allowed? It is anticipated that year 1 is for hardware, first-year maintenance agreement, and any other upfront costs. Years 2 and 3 are expected to cover maintenance agreements. Will there be a live bidding auction on April 14, or will the price submitted on page 4 be the only offer that is accepted? April 14th is the online live bidding. Our state bidding laws require that a paper option is presented to vendors so as not to exclude any vendor that does not have internet access, however, electronic bidding this the preferred method.
