At which time bids will be opened and publicly read aloud. Electronic bids will also be accepted. Please find bid related materials and place your electronic bids at WWW.CENTRALBIDDING.COM. upon payment of $150.00 per set. Deposits on the first set of documents furnished to properly licensed bona fide prime bidders will be fully refunded upon return of the documents in good condition no later than ten days after receipt of bids. On sets of documents issued to sub-contractors and others, one-half (1/2) the deposit will be refunded upon return of the documents in good condition no later than ten (10) days after receipt of bids. Plans may be mailed by regular mail upon receipt of $150.00. A non-refundable shipping and handling fee will be charged on all plans and specifications mailed to prospective bidders.

A Mandatory Pre-Bid Conference shall be held at: Alvin Fairburn and Associates 1289 Del Este Avenue Denham Springs La 70726 on Tuesday November 2, 2017 @ 2:00 pm. All bids must be accompanied by a bid security equal to five percent (5%) of the base bid and any alternatives and subject to the conditions provided in the Instructions to Bidders. The successful contractor will be required to enter into a contract with the OWNER and to furnish all the materials, perform all of the work, supervise, coordinate, administrate and be responsible for the work of the entire project. No bids may be withdrawn after the closing time for receipt of bids for at least forty-five (45) days. The bond of the low bidder will be held for forty-five (45) days, or until the contract is signed, whichever is shorter.

PERFORMANCE AND PAYMENT BOND: A performance and payment bond for the work will be required upon execution of the contract, equal to one hundred percent (100%) of said contract written by a company licensed to do business in Louisiana and who is currently on the U.S. Department of the Treasury Financial Management Service List. The bond shall be countersigned by a person who is under contract and who is licensed as an insurance agent in the State of Louisiana, and who is residing in this state.

Livingston Parish Council reserves the right to reject any and all bids for just cause. In accordance with La. R.S. 38:2212 (A) (1) (b), the provisions and requirements of this section, those stated in the advertisement for bids, and those required on the bid form shall not be considered as informalities and shall not be waived by any public entity.

Livingston Parish Council encourages all small business, minority owned firms, veteran owned firms and women’s business enterprises to participate.
