REVERSE AUCTION INFORMATION:

            Notice is hereby given that electronic bid proposals will be received by the Board of Supervisors of Jasper County, for the purpose of purchasing (1) or more new (unused) 2023 Model year Tandem Axle Dump Truck(s), Small Tandem Dump Truck(s) and Tridem Axle Dump Truck(s)
            All electronic bid specifications and procedures may be obtained electronically at www.centralbidding.com For questions relating to electronic downloads, please call Central Bidding at 225-810-4814.
            Bid proposals will be evaluated and vendors submitting acceptable proposals will be invited by no later than 4:00 p.m. on Friday January 14, 2022 to submit priced bids.  Final bidding will be held by electronic reverse auction on Monday, January 17, 2022 at www.centralbidding.com From 10:00-10:20 Am for Tandem Axle Dump Truck, 10:40-11:00 AM for Small Tandem Dump Truck and 11:20-11:40 AM for Tridem Axle Dump Truck.
 
            Electronic bids and/or reverse auction bids may be submitted at www.centralbidding.com.
            If the agency is closed for any unforeseen reason which prevents the acceptance of electronic bids, or prevents the live reverse auction at the advertised date and time.  All reverse auctions shall begin on the next business day and the agency shall be open and at the previously advertised time.  Each vendor/contractor shall be required to ensure the receipt of its electronic bid by the agency prior to the date and time of the bid opening.
            This advertisement is not limited to any particular brand, and any make will be considered that meets or exceeds the minimum specifications.   Bids should state a lease price, a cash price or lease purchase price not to exceed five (5) years for each individual piece of equipment separately.
            In purchasing said equipment, the Board reserves the right to reject any and all bids; and the Board reserves the right to take advantage of the Section 19-13-17 or 31-7-13 of the Mississippi Code of 1972, and all amendments and pay thereof in installments, lease purchase payments or to pay cash in its discretion.
            The County reserves the right to utilize “anti-sniping” for reverse auction.  Anti-sniping is a tool that automatically extends the bid time for (5) minutes of the reverse auction.  The anti-sniping effect will automatically extend the reverse auction bid time any time a bid is placed in the last five (5) minutes of the reverse auction and can auto extend the reverse auction multiple times until bidding on the auction ends.
