Bid Law Requirement Update: Act 406
Vendors will be required to submit certain documentation with bid submission, i.e. affidavits, proof of insurance, etc. These requirements will be outlined specifically in the instructions of each bid package. Bids will be accepted and received through Central Bidding until 2 p.m. The public bid opening will be held at the West Bank Purchasing Department at 200 Derbigny Street, Suite 4400, Gretna, LA 70053 beginning at 2:30 p.m. on each bid opening date for the following project:

Bid specifications may be obtained by visiting the Jefferson Parish Purchasing Department webpage at http://purchasing.jeffparish.net and selecting the LaPAC Tab. Bids may also be viewed and submitted online free of charge at: www.jeffparishbids.net. 
 
Each bid must be accompanied by a surety bid bond in the amount of 5% of the total bid amount, or the amount specified, WHEN INDICATED IN THE SPECIFICATIONS. Vendors must submit an electronic bid bond through the respective online clearinghouse bond management system(s) as indicated in the electronic bid Solicitation on Central Auction House. No scanned paper copies of any bid bond will be accepted as part of the electronic bid submission.

Per the RFP requirements, an electronic bid bond is being requested rather than a copy of a bid bond attached to our proposal which would be issued by our current surety. Can this requirement be removed as it removes our ability to source the bonding agency whom we have worked with for ten years and forces us to work with an entity which we have not yet worked with? We will still provide a bid bond and the P&P bonds as requested in the solicitation, but we would like to source our surety we have worked with for many years.

Good afternoon,

My name is Jules Cummings and I am the inside sales rep at WillScot. I have attached a proposal for 2 60x12 modular units. 
 
Attached, you will find a quote for (2) 60x12 modular office for 12 billing periods. This units come standard with 2 private offices, 1 conference area, and 1 restroom. The unit has a 4’ hitch, so the box size is approximately 56x12, including exterior walls. The floorplan appears at the end of the quote, along with turnkey options. I’ve included a turnkey optoin with furniture.
 
Your quote includes the following recurring monthly charges:
 
The unit – pre-wired with cat6 hookups for VoIP plug and play use; this will show on your invoice for our accounting/inventory purposes.
2 sets of aluminum OSHA steps with canopy for private calls, surveying the land, and smoke breaks.
Window/door security bars to deter and prevent theft of internal assets.
A 2 office and 1 conference package bundle, which appears as 1 line item.
1 professional air purifier to filtrate enclosed spaces. This is the same unit used at medical facilities.
General liability and property damage - these have 4/7 customer service, which is beneficial during hurricane season, will automatically begin and term when the unit is delivered and removed, and are generally cheaper than most insurance plans. 

Section 2 and 3 include 1 time mobilization charges – delivery and return.
 
WillScot delivers the unit to a dry and level site provided by the customer; we block and level the unit, tie the unit down with anchors for the hurricane wind speed in your area, and you’d need a licensed electrician to hook up the unit to onsite power. For the restroom, you’ll need to contract a plumber or hire a tank company.
 
Important info:

If you need a unit that is coded for the state of Louisiana (has the state seal with stamped plans if the site or fire marshal requires), please let me know. These units are more rare.
Please let me know if you need ADA steps or ramp.
You are quoted for dirt tiedown; please let us know if the site is concrete or asphalt.
If the delivery area is tight and we cannot back the unit it, we would need a vendor with a translift to assist with the installation. This would be an additional cost.
Please be aware that the quote is tax free.
